Google has developed simple and easy to use software that can aid in the construction of alternative energy sources such as wind turbines, solar panels, and other structures providing wind, hydro, or geothermal energy. This new software allows the designer to consider possible alternative energy sources before actual construction begins. This website provides the links to the Google SketchUp software.
